The control of hazardous energy (lockout/tagout)

It must be developed, documented and used procedures for control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities referred to in this paragraph. (1) The machine or system has no potential for stored or residual energy or accumulation of stored energy after shutdown, which could endanger employees;

 (4) the machine or system is separate from this energy source and during maintenance or servicing disabled;
(5) a single locking device to achieve a locked-out state;

 (7) the servicing or maintenance does not create hazards for other employees; and
(8) the employer, this derogation for the use, has the unexpected activation or reenergization the machine or system no accidents had during servicing or maintenance involved.
Regular inspection:
The employer has a periodic review of the energy control method at least once a year to ensure that the process and the requirements of this standard are met. Where used tagout energy control, a review must include the periodic inspection, between the examiner and each authorized and affected employees, of that employee's responsibilities are reviewed as part of the energy control procedures and set the items in this section.
Education and communication:
The employer shall provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for safe use, use and disposal of energy controls are acquired by employees. The training must include the following information:
Any authorized employee must receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and size of the available energy in the workplace, and the methods and means have to be for energy isolation and control.Each affected employees in the purpose and the use to be instructed of the energy control procedures.
